Studio Etiquette

What to Expect...

Read the 'What to Expect' section below prior to coming to the studio.

01Arrive Early

Please arrive 15 minutes before your first class to sign in, get a studio tour and get settled in. The studio opens 30 minutes before each class.

02Late Entry

We do not allow late entry to any classes or workshops. To ensure everyone is ready for their practice, please be on your mat, either sitting or lying down, when the instructor arrives. The door will be locked upon class start time.

03Belongings

Remove your shoes at the door. You can place your belongings in a cubby or shelf in the reception area, or bring them into the yoga room with you. The studio doors are locked during practice times.

04Turn Off Phones/Watches

Please turn off all devices, including phones and watches, or set them to sleep or airplane mode. Vibrate mode can be disruptive, so ensure your device is completely off. Devices can be left in the reception area with your other belongings.

05Get your Mat Ready for Class

Find a spot for yourself, grab any props you might need, and make yourself comfortable. Your instructor may suggest specific props as you sign in, or you can use what they have set up on their mat. Props are available on shelves in the yoga room. Feel free to experiment with props you’ve never used before.

06Washrooms/Shower

There are three unisex washrooms just outside the yoga room, one of which has a shower for members to use, the studio is open 15 minutes after class, please be conscious of the instructor’s time if showering.

07Now What?

You may choose to sit or lie on your mat and stretch, catch up with friends, or quietly rest with your eyes closed in preparation for class. If you see someone resting quietly, please be respectful and keep conversations to a whisper. You may appreciate the quiet space yourself one day.

08Savasana

The final resting pose, Savasana (corpse pose), involves lying or sitting on your mat in a comfortable position – this could be lying on your back, stomach, having legs up the wall or being seated. This pose typically lasts between 3-10 minutes, depending on the instructor and the flow of the class. Your instructor will guide you into this pose, helping you relax and quiet your mind. We ask that you stay for the entire Savasana unless there is an emergency. The instructor will either guide you back to a seated position to close the class or leave you in Savasana to exit the room at your own pace. This will be explained during each class.

09Cancellations / Failure to Attend

Regular Yoga Classes/Workshops: Please cancel at least 6 hours before class starts. If you cancel within 6 hours of the class or fail to attend after signing up, a class pass will be charged. This includes the free studio class on Saturdays. Enrolments/Programs: To be eligible for a refund, cancellations or withdrawals from an enrolment or program must be made at least 48 hours before the first class.

This was such a good class! I was nervous restarting yoga after a knee injury but this class was gentle, yet challenging and I was glad I went.

Both instructors are knowledgeable, encouraging and kind! My body responds well with long weighted stretches. I very much appreciate these wild card with adjustment classes!
